Hey! I’m Josh Coulon, a passionate and creative multimedia storyteller with a heart full of love for sports media. From the moment I was a kid, sports have been a big part of my life. Whether it was the thrill of cheering for the Pacers, the camaraderie of playing sports, or the excitement of creating that familial bond with teammates. That same enthusiasm now drives my work behind the camera. As a senior and Executive Director for Southeastern Media Network, I’ve spent the last three years crafting powerful content, capturing those unforgettable moments through photography, and leading teams of talented student creatives to share stories that truly stick with our audiences. My experience as a former athlete gives me a unique perspective, allowing me to anticipate moments that others might overlook. Meanwhile, my eye for design, inspired by my dad who is a graphic designer, ensures that every frame is meticulously crafted. I take pride in mentoring younger students and creating a collaborative, growth-focused environment. That dedication has been recognized through several honors, including being named Staffer of the Year for SMN in 2024, becoming a Quill and Scroll member, and earning two first-place awards from the Women’s Press Club of Indiana. My work is a perfect blend of technical skill and storytelling passion, whether I’m editing post-game recaps or capturing a buzzer-beater. I’m eager to continue honing my craft at Ball State through Sports Link, where I’ll have the opportunity to learn and connect with industry professionals and enhance my ability to tell compelling sports stories. My ultimate dream? To become a team photographer for the Indiana Pacers or New England Patriots, or to create for any organization that shares my same love for sports. I’m thrilled about what the future holds and even more excited to keep capturing the moments that bring people together.
